In the past week, police assisted one person with a disabled motor vehicle. Emergency responders received two medical calls, with both people requiring hospital transport. Emergency responders also received two requests for well-being checks, and one of those people required ambulance transport. Police also responded to three false burglar alarms.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
At 9:02 p.m. police saw that the roads were becoming icy and called on the Department of Public Works to begin sanding townwide. At 9:10 p.m. someone called 911 to say that a driver headed south on Mass. Ave. near the Bromfield School was swerving from lane to lane; police units were advised, but the car was not located.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
At 5:15 p.m. a 911 caller reported a minor two-car accident on Ayer Road; no one was injured.
Thursday, Feb. 18
Nothing significant to report.
Friday, Feb. 19
At 12:08 p.m. a resident called 911 to say a young child was missing but quickly called back to say the youngster had been found in the house. At 1:10 p.m. Ayer police called on Harvard officers for assistance in serving a search warrant and an arrest warrant in Ayer. At 1:45 p.m. a parent called to report a runaway teenager; police located the young person, who was returned home.
Saturday, Feb. 20–Monday, Feb. 22
