At 7:40 a.m. a smoke detector at a Baldwin Court house went off; the problem proved to be dust in the detector.
Friday, Sept. 2
Beginning at 1:48 p.m., fire drills and training were held at Hildreth Elementary School and the Bromfield School.
Sunday, Sept. 4
At 7:34 a.m. a fire alarm sounded at a Depot Road home; a fire officer investigated, but the report is not yet available. According to police, the Fire Department was also involved in investigating the unidentified loud noise in the center of town at 10:18 a.m.
