Playoff season has begun. The boys and girls varsity track and field teams competed in the Midland-Wachusett D League championships Thursday, May 16, in Gardner, and the boys and girls tennis, baseball, and girls lacrosse teams have followed as the Central Mass. Class C postseason finally got underway Sunday, May 19, after two days of drizzle and rain.
The Central Mass. championships are organized by the Central Massachusetts Athletic Directors Association, replacing the district meets formerly hosted by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association but discontinued during the pandemic. The results of the Central Mass. competitions are included in a team’s overall season record and used to determine its final ranking in the statewide MIAA tournaments that follow.
Each Central Mass. team is guaranteed two games in the postseason, regardless of its record, but this year only the top four teams in each class will compete for the championship. As the top teams in their class, the boys and girls tennis squads have both earned spots in the Class C championship bracket, but the baseball and girls lacrosse teams have not. Instead, they will each play two consolation games and hope that their overall record for the season is good enough to qualify them for the MIAA state championships later this month.

- 5/23 Central Mass. Class C non-playoffs game 2 vs. Hudson, NA
Boys outdoor track (2-2, 2-2)
- 5/16 Mid-Wach D League championship. Boys placed third among five competing schools with 99 points. Littleton won with 171 points.
