In one of its busiest weeks on record, the Ambulance Service responded to 17 calls and transported 15 patients to the hospital, four with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance was called to four vehicle crashes. No one needed a lift assist.
Tuesday, June 11
At 3:46 p.m. Engine 2 responded to a false alarm from a Mill Road home.
Thursday, June 13
At 8:01 a.m. Engine 2 was called to the collision on Route 2 eastbound, and at 8:32, the engine went to the second crash there; in both cases, firefighters helped control traffic. At 9:40 a.m. firefighters helped with traffic control when the medical helicopter landed on the field in front of the library after the motorcycle crash. At 10:45 a.m. Harvard firefighters helped with a fire alarm in Littleton.
Sunday, June 16
At 10:04 a.m. Engines 2 and 4 went to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Littleton and Orchard Hill roads. At 1:53 p.m. the same two engines went to the Pond Road crash to provide assistance.
The police and fire logs are written by a Press reporter based on dispatch logs and interviews with police and fire staff. Decisions to publish or withhold the names of people arrested will be based on our need to balance the privacy of individuals with our responsibility to report news of significance.
