At 3:32 p.m. a Bolton Road resident reported that two men were walking around mailboxes on that road. Police checked the area, but did not find anyone. The ambulance transported a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Old Littleton Road address at 5:01 p.m. At 8:29 p.m. police received a report that a pair of water skis had been stolen from a boat at the town beach. Police were called to the scene of a two-car accident at Pinnacle and Littleton roads at 8:48 p.m. One driver was issued a written warning for a stop sign violation; both cars were towed. An officer on patrol at 9:29 p.m. stopped at the beach to inform people there that the beach was closed and advised them to move along.
Wednesday, June 1
At 9:28 a.m. a caller reported concerns about two cars parked at an abandoned house on Finn Road. Police found that the people at the site were waiting to meet with a wildlife commissioner about taking down the house. Police, fire, and ambulance personnel responded to the scene of an accident on Route 2 eastbound at 8:25 p.m.; Littleton EMS provided hospital transportation. At 8:30 p.m. a Woodside Road resident reported that her house may have been hit by lightning. A fire officer went to the home to investigate, and found everything OK. The ambulance took one woman to Emerson Hospital from a Poor Farm Road residence at 9:26 p.m. A fire officer responded to a call from a Haskell Lane resident at 9:36 p.m., reporting that there had been a lightning strike in the area. The officer found that a pine tree had been struck, but there was no fire.
Thursday, June 2
An officer on patrol at 12:50 a.m. stopped to investigate an occupied vehicle parked in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot and found a weary traveler napping. At 6:52 a.m. a caller reported that large trucks were parked in the roadway on Poor Farm Road. Police found that the trucks belonged to a paving company doing work in the area, and assigned a detail officer to direct traffic until the work was completed. At 10:11 a.m. a caller reported that Verizon trucks were in the roadway on Pinnacle Road. An officer stood by until the trucks were moved. At 2:14 p.m. a caller reported that a dog had been hit by a car on Prospect Hill Road. At 3:26 p.m. someone stopped at the station to speak with an officer about a domestic situation. At 6:17 p.m. someone stopped at the station seeking information about a Child in Need of Services (CHINS) petition. Police were called to a Madigan Lane home at 9:31 p.m. by a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic incident. Peace was restored; no arrests were made.
Friday, June 3
At 9:27 a.m. a Stow Road resident called with concerns about an unfamiliar vehicle in a neighbor’s driveway. Police found that the car was a rental car being used by the neighbor. At 7:31 p.m. firefighters were called to a Pinnacle Road address to extinguish a car fire. The ambulance transported a man to Emerson Hospital from an Orchard Hill residence at 9:21 p.m.
Saturday, June 4
An Oak Hill Road resident called at 8:45 a.m. to complain about speeding vehicles in the area. At 11:11 a.m. police, fire, and medical personnel responded to the scene of a single-car accident on Ayer Road that occurred when the driver lost control of her vehicle. Police found an 8-month-old baby in a car seat. The driver and the baby were taken to Leominster Hospital. The baby was later taken into custody by the Department of Children and Families (formerly Department of Social Services) after police issued a summons to the mother for operating under the influence of drugs, operating to endanger, speeding, and failing to stay within marked lanes. At 1:16 p.m. a caller reported that bicyclists in the area of Old Littleton and Pinnacle roads were riding in the roadway and wouldn’t move over. The cyclists were gone when police arrived.
Sunday, June 5
A Madigan Lane resident called at 8:56 a.m. to complain about noise from nearby farm machines that had started at 5:30 a.m. Police spoke with the farm owner to advise him of the complaint.
Monday, June 6
Someone stopped at the station at 6:37 p.m. to speak with an officer about the alleged drug problem in Harvard. At 8:55 p.m. an officer on patrol advised people parked at the Prospect Hill overlook to move along. Around 9:16 p.m. police received three calls about gun shots heard in the Craggs Road area. An officer did hear one shot but no one was found in the area.
