Annual Town Meeting will be held Saturday, May 3, noon, at the Bromfield School. The Town Election is Tuesday, May 6, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Hildreth Elementary School gymnasium.
Book discussion group, Mondays, May 5 and May 19, 1 p.m. Join a discussion from the book “Eightysomethings” by Katharine Esty, about the experience of aging.

Grief support group meets Monday, May 12, 2 p.m. Share experiences and learn about the grieving process with Karen Campbell, spiritual and bereavement care coordinator for Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice.
Canine search and rescue. On Tuesday, May 13, at 1 p.m., volunteers and their dogs from the Massachusetts K9 unit Mark9 will do a preventive search and rescue presentation, and, weather permitting, will show the dogs in action outdoors.
Lunch at Craft Food Halls in Boxborough. Have great food and play some Ping-Pong or shuffleboard Wednesday, May 14, 11:30 a.m.
Sisters of Support will meet Thursday, May 15, 10 a.m. Minuteman Senior Services registered dietician Deb McLean will discuss how to make a nutritious meal for one, when you are used to feeding two or more.
Health and blood pressure clinic. On Thursday, May 15, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., community health nurse Alicia Lepardo RN will provide blood pressure testing and answer general health questions.
Movies for grownups. This month’s movie is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved comedy about finding your equal and earning your happy ending. From 2020, rated PG. At the library, 4 Pond Road, Monday, May 19, 1 p.m.
Master illusionist Lyn Dillies, hailed as the finest female magician in the land, will perform Tuesday, May 20, 1 p.m., bringing some of the most spectacular illusions in magic today.
Box container planting, Friday, May 23, 10 a.m. Container gardening for flowers and herbs allows control over sun and water.
Attorney Erin McBee will speak Tuesday, May 27, 1 p.m., giving important information on how older residents can take steps legally and financially to protect homes and assets.
Tour the DeCordova Sculpture Park Wednesday, May 28, 10 a.m., and see a landscape of more than 60 outdoor sculptures and installations. Admission $12, sign up by May 16. Indoor museum galleries are currently closed.
Computer passwords made simple. Join Adam in the computer lab Friday, May 30, 11 a.m., for a brief presentation on how to keep online accounts secure. Space is limited.
Take the Downeaster train to Old Orchard Beach Wednesday, June 25, 8:45 a.m. Explore the town for three hours, walk along the beach or pier, and stop in a shop or restaurant. Train seats are not reserved. Round trip tickets $30 over 65, $48 under 65. Sign up and pay by May 30.
The Elderly and Disabled Tax Aid program helps elderly and disabled residents defray the costs of property taxes.
- Applications for assistance must be received by the town no later than Wednesday, May 28. Visit harvard-ma.gov or call the COA.
- Donations are accepted at any time during the year and may be tax deductible. Call the town treasurer at 978-456-4100, ext. 318, and speak to Lindsay.
Weekly grocery shopping. The van to Market Basket in Littleton departs Fridays, 10 a.m.
Congregate meals. Meals will be served Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon at the senior center. Meals on wheels can also be arranged.
Library services. Homebound residents can have books delivered. Call 978-456-4114 or email reference@harvardpubliclibrary.org.
Help with computers. Adam is available for one-on-one computer training or anything related to computers or technology. Call the COA (not Adam) for an appointment.
A veterans wall is under consideration for the senior center. If you are a veteran and are interested in having your name and photo included, please contact the office; ask for Pam.
COA van guidelines. There is no fee for the use of the van. To schedule a ride, call the COA; 48 hours’ notice is requested. Wheelchair users must be accompanied by a companion.
