The public hearing on Coil Brothers Concentrates’ proposed marijuana processing facility in Harvard has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. The hearing had been scheduled for last Tuesday, Aug. 28, but Coil Brothers decided to postpone it earlier that day. Speaking for the company, Matthew Brace stated that the extreme heat expected in the Town Hall meeting room would have made the meeting unproductive. In addition to this, officials discovered that, due to a miscommunication, Coil Brothers had not reached all parties that should have been notified about the meeting. When asked about the decision, Brace emphasized that he wanted people’s first experience with Coil Brothers to be a positive one, stating, “We want to do this thing right.”
Coil Brothers Concentrates is a marijuana processing company that may open a business in the Appleworks building at 325 Ayer Road. According to Brace, Coil Brothers plans to engage only in wholesale distribution of processed marijuana to other companies—primarily research labs, but also dispensaries. While Brace has stated, “Once we are up and running, you won’t even know we are there,” he encouraged everyone, especially nearby residents and businesses, to attend the rescheduled hearing and find out about their potential new neighbor.
