I’d like to correct a statement included in your front page article on Dec. 14 titled, “CPIC votes to recommend fiscal 2020 funding requests.”
Our committee did not “reject the Conservation Commission’s request for $100,000 to contribute to the purchase of a 22-acre parcel on Willard Lane.” We just did not have enough information to confidently recommend spending the $100,000 they requested. We sent the commission our additional questions, and they have agreed to attend our next meeting on Jan. 28 to provide answers and update us on the status of this request. We have until March to add their request to the ATM warrants if we and the Select Board are convinced their request is justified.

Editor’s note: John Seeley is correct. We regret the error.
