In the past week, the ambulance responded to 14 calls and transported seven patients to the hospital, two with out-of-town ALS-Paramedics on board and two with Harvard ALS-Advanced personnel on board. The ambulance responded to six motor vehicle collisions and provided one lift assist.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
At 1:58 p.m. Engine 1 was called to the crash on Bolton Road, where the crew cleaned up fluids and debris.
Friday, Aug. 21
At 10:54 a.m. Engine 2 responded to a commercial fire alarm on Still River Road. A dirty detector had caused the alarm; it was cleaned and reset. At 4:08 p.m. Engine 2 went to the Route 2 crash and provided traffic control. At 6:03 p.m. the duty officer responded to an alarm on Old Littleton Road. No cause was found, and the owner was advised to replace the alarm.
Saturday, Aug. 22
At 9:29 a.m. Engine 2 and the tower truck went to the car crash on Old Shirley Road, and the crews cleaned up debris.
Sunday, Aug. 23
At 11:57 a.m. an alarm went off at a Westcott Road home. Engine 1 and the tower went to the scene, where crews found low levels of carbon monoxide from a propane cooktop. They vented the house and advised the owner to have the cooktop serviced. At 9:38 p.m. Engine 2 assisted at the motorcycle crash on Interstate 495.
Monday, Aug. 24
At 7:11 a.m. a 911 caller reported a vehicle fire on Route 2; both Harvard and Littleton fire crews checked the area but found nothing. At 10:27 a.m. a dirty detector caused an alarm on Bolton Road. At 6:05 p.m. the duty officer told a Bolton Road resident who was burning cardboard to put out the illegal fire.
