Last week the West Bare Hill Road edge of the Sprague conservation land was cleared to remove invasives and enhance views of this beautiful hayfield. This work, by the Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship Subcommittee, was about a year in the making, and the latest step was carried out by Greg Harrod’s boom mower.
Now we will try to keep invasives at bay and stabilize the area cleared with native plants. Come take a look and enjoy the scenic views west to Mount Wachusett.
