For the three-week period from Dec. 16, 2025, to Jan. 5, 2026, the ambulance responded to 29 calls and transported 19 patients to the hospital, six with Harvard ALS-Advanced personnel on board and five with out-of-town ALS-Paramedics on board. The ambulance was called to five motor vehicle collisions and provided three lift assists.
Friday, Dec. 19
Amid many calls about downed wires, at 9:56 a.m. the Fire Department received word of a transformer that was down and sparking near Old Shirley Road; National Grid was called. A second sparking transformer on Pinnacle Road started a small fire that went out by itself; again National Grid was called.
Saturday, Dec. 20
At 7:38 p.m. a carbon monoxide detector went off at a home on Old Mill Road, caused by a malfunctioning furnace. Firefighters shut it off and ventilated the house.
Monday, Dec. 22
At 2:04 a.m. the duty officer responded to an alarm on Ayer Road but found only a detector that needed cleaning. At 3:07 p.m. someone reported smoke along Littleton County Road; it was traced to a permitted agricultural burn.
Thursday, Dec. 25
At 8:13 a.m. Engine 2 and the tower truck responded to an alarm on Still River Road. It had been set off by a humidifier that was too close.
Saturday, Dec. 27
At 2:38 a.m. firefighters went to the five-car crash on Route 2 and stood by for safety until the vehicles were removed. At 2:20 p.m. a 911 call brought Engine 2, the tanker, and the tower truck to a Trail Ridge Way home. Firefighters found some English muffins had caught fire in the broiler, so they vented smoke from the house.
Monday, Dec. 29
At 2:01 a.m. Engine 2 went to a rollover crash on Route 2 eastbound and waited for the tow truck to arrive. At 11:23 p.m. Engine 2 responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Jacob Gates Road. The furnace required service.
Tuesday, Dec. 30
At 11:31 a.m. Engine 2 and the tower truck went to Bolton Road where firefighters helped get a downed horse back on its feet.
Thursday, Jan. 1
At 2:07 a.m. firefighters went to a crash on Route 2 eastbound. At 10:29 a.m. they responded to a carbon monoxide detector at a Littleton County Road house, where they found low levels of the gas, vented the building, and replaced the detector.
Friday, Jan. 2
At 5:27 p.m. Engine 2 went to a Babbitt Lane home where a plastic container had caught fire on the stove. The resident had put the fire out. Firefighters vented the house and reset the alarm.
Saturday, Jan. 3
At 9:43 a.m. an alarm went off at a Littleton County Road building. Engine 2 responded, and firefighters found the alarm had been set off by dust from some sanding work. At 1:59 p.m. firefighters were called to a crash on Old Littleton Road.
