Sculpture at the orchard
Old Frog Pond Farm and Studio will hold the opening reception for its outdoor sculpture exhibit “Around the Pond and Through the Woods” Sunday, Sept. 7, 1 to 5 p.m., at 38 Eldridge Road. Enjoy the work of 30 talented sculptors along with live music and community celebration. Free and open to all.
After the opening reception, the sculpture trails will be open to the public for self-guided tours Tuesdays through Sundays, Sept. 9 to Oct. 13, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children

The Women’s Business Network (WBN) will have a coffee get-together Friday, Sept. 5, 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Harvard General Store, 1 Still River Road. Members and nonmembers are welcome to network with local professionals and exchange ideas. WBN is a local, volunteer-run group of women in small businesses, professional practices, nonprofits, and the arts who meet monthly for mutual support, education, and networking.
Time Traveler returns to Carlson Orchards
Suzanne Buell with Time Traveler will perform outdoors Saturday, Sept. 6, 4 to 7:30 p.m., at Carlson’s Cider Barn, 115 Oak Hill Road. Wind down the summer and relax with pizza and signature ciders while hearing new tunes from this Harvard-based band.
Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira to perform
Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira, accompanied by Everest Witman, will perform in a house concert Tuesday, Sept. 9, 7 p.m., at a private residence in Harvard. Pettit is a vibrant fiddle player, step dancer, and singer, and Gira is establishing herself as one of the most versatile cellists in traditional music. 2024 winners of the Canadian Folk Music Awards “Traditional Album of the Year,” the duo brings life and fire into original tunes, songs, and high-energy repertoire from Scotland, Ireland, North America, and Scandinavia. Jazz at Fivesparks
Fivesparks and Fugitive Productions present a concert with 440 Gypsy Jazz Thursday, Sept. 11, 7:30 p.m., at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank St. In the style of hot club jazz, 440 presents toe-tapping original tunes and Django Reinhardt’s music arranged with beautiful harmony on violin and clarinet. An evening with Joyce Kulhawik
The Warner Free Lecture series will present “Joyce Kulhawik: Lights, Camera, Action” Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m., at Volunteers Hall at the library at 4 Pond Road. Kulhawik, an Emmy Award-winning arts and entertainment anchor at WBZ-TV in Boston for 28 years, will describe her experience in the media and how it has evolved over time. Lions Fall Fest
The Harvard Lions Club will host its annual Fall Fest Saturday, Sept. 13, from 2 to 7 p.m., on the field at the Harvard Public Library, 4 Pond Road. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, yard games, a kids’ area, human foosball, exhibitor booths, and a beer garden. Admission is free.

Opening reception for pastels exhibit
Fruitlands Museum will host a public reception celebrating the opening of the exhibit “Serenade: A Symphony in Pastel” Saturday, Sept. 13, 1 to 3 p.m., at 102 Prospect Hill Road. The exhibit presents the work of Lisa Regopoulos, an award-winning and adventure-loving local pastel artist, and will run in the Wayside Visitors Center through Nov. 2. Admission to the Wayside Gallery for the reception is free.
PTO pickleball tournament
The Harvard PTO will host its third annual pickleball tournament Sunday, Sept. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Bromfield tennis courts. Grab a partner and register now for this round-robin style tournament open to all ages and skill levels. Victors will be awarded pickleball gear and merchandise from the Marcus Lewis Tennis Center. Civil War letters
On Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m., the Harvard Historical Society, 215 Still River Road, will look back at the Civil War through the letters of a Harvard man serving in the Union Army. Historian and resident Charlotte Visconsi will portray Fanny Whitney, reading her brother Charles’ early letters from the war and sharing the experiences and thoughts of a woman living at home. Free but donations appreciated.

9/11 memorial exhibit in Fitchburg
The Tunnel to Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit will be on display Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Fitchburg Municipal Airport, 567 Crawford St., Fitchburg. Visitors to this traveling museum will see artifacts from Ground Zero, including World Trade Center steel, pieces of the marble lobby floor, and the aluminum facade. Exhibits feature videos, 9/11 dispatch audio, and a tribute to the first responders who lost their lives. Tours are conducted by retired New York City firefighters and other first responders. Loaves & Fishes fundraiser at Dirigible Brewing Co.
Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will host a fundraiser Tuesday, Sept. 9, 5 to 8 p.m., at Dirigible Brewing Co., 24 Porter Road, Littleton.
