Meg Delorier, who has served as vice president for Devens operations since 2022, announced last week that she will retire effective Sept. 19, 2025. She will remain on the job until October, she said, to give MassDevelopment, the agency responsible for the development and governance of Devens, time to find a successor.
Known to residents and businesses informally as the “mayor” of Devens, Delorier oversees its departments of public safety (including fire and police), environmental engineering, public works, recreation, and utilities. She also serves as the director of military initiatives. Prior to joining MassDevelopment in 2001, Delorier was the executive director of the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce. She was also the station manager for the American Red Cross at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona and the former Fort Devens. Meg attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College majoring in criminal justice.
Delorier made her announcement at last week’s monthly meeting of the resident-elected Devens Committee. She told committee members and attendees that she would be moving to Williamsburg, Virginia, to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter.
