It’s been a busy year for news and features at the Press, and as we prepare to take a break, we’re excited to bring you coverage of the town’s iconic Fourth of July festivities with this now traditional full-color issue. If you need an extra copy or two for friends and family, you can find this week’s paper at Daigneault’s Liquors, the Harvard General Store, Westward Orchards, Bolton Orchards, Devens Rapid Refill, Ayer Shop ’n Save, and Ayer Jack O’Lantern.
But now it’s time to refresh and recharge. This is our last issue until Aug. 15. We’ll be back to work Aug. 11, ready to do our job as Harvard’s independent paper of record.
We hope to spend time in our gardens, at the pond, on the trail, or stretched out with a good book. But we won’t be absent. Keep an eye on harvardpress.com for breaking news; our news desk will be staffed, ready to respond when reporting is required that only a trusted, experienced local news organization like the Press can provide. If you have a tip, phone us at 978-456-3700 and leave a message or email editor@harvardpress.net.
We’re always looking for new contributors, especially reporters, but also copy editors, columnists, and nonfiction writers of all kinds, adults as well as students. We’ll be actively recruiting when we return in August. If you’d like more information about working for the Press, write to editor@harvardpress.net.
Meantime, enjoy your summer. See you next month.
