Bloom N Art returns this weekend
The ninth annual Bloom N Art, a collaborative show of the Garden Club of Harvard, Harvard Public Schools, and Fivesparks, will take place at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank Street, Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 30, noon to 4 p.m. The event celebrates the relationship between artwork and floral arrangements, pairing art created by Bromfield School students with flower arrangements by members of the Garden Club. Free and open to the public.

Take a hike
From April 1 to May 11, the Harvard Conservation Trust will present a storybook trail featuring “And Then It’s Spring” by Julie Fogliano and illustrated by Caldecott medalist Erin E. Stead, a tale of patience, hope, and the promise of new beginnings. This year the location is the Small Nature Trail, located behind the Hildreth Elementary School. The story is perfect for all ages to enjoy while exploring the trail, enjoying the fresh air, and experiencing the magic of the season.
Stories from a lighthouse keeper
Sally Snowman, lighthouse keeper in Boston harbor for 20 years, will speak at the Harvard Public Library, 4 Pond Road, Thursday, April 3, 6 p.m. Until retiring in 2023, Snowman served at Boston Light, the nation’s last manned Coast Guard light station. She will share photos of Boston Light’s 307 years of history, and anecdotes of her experiences as a 21st century keeper. Register at harvardpublic library.libcal.com/event/13828529.
Comedy for a cause
Pinard Landscaping and Clear Path for Veterans will host Devens Comedy Night Friday, April 4, at the Devens Common Center, 31 Andrews Parkway, Devens. Spring vernal pool exploration
The Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship Subcommittee will lead a walk Sunday, April 6, 1:30 p.m., with wetland biologist Matthew Varrell. Explore a woodland trail passing beautiful rock outcroppings, skirting 40+ acres of protected shrub swamp, and giving views of Bare Hill Pond. Meet on Willard Lane, near the Harvard Conservation Land sign. A 2-mile loop; wear tick protection and suitable footwear. No dogs. Drizzle OK; rain cancels. ‘Enchanted April’ at Cannon Theatre

Old Frog Pond Farm & Studio will host “A Movable Feast: Fiber, Found Objects, and Apple Prunings” Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the farm at 38 Eldridge Road. Build a travelling folly using a forgotten farm cart, this year’s apple prunings, and your fiber scraps. Community book panel, ‘The Anxious Generation’
