At the March 3 joint meeting of the Garden Club of Harvard and the Harvard Woman’s Club, guest speaker and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry executive director Patty Stern was surprised to find a donation of 163 pounds of diapers collected by club members. Remarked Bill Loehfelm, Garden Club president and client counselor at Loaves & Fishes, “Donations like this spread far and wide throughout our area like the roots of a tree. You don’t necessarily see the impact but the health of the community reflects their presence.”
