For the period from July 9 to Aug. 12, the Ambulance Service responded to 25 calls and transported 13 people to the hospital, seven with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance responded to nine motor vehicle crashes. No one needed a lift assist.

Friday, July 12
At 1:19 p.m. Engine 2 and the fire chief were called to the one-car crash on East Bare Hill Road; they stood by until the vehicle was removed.
Tuesday, July 16
At 3:01 p.m. Engine 2 responded to the two-car crash on Still River Road; the crew waited at the scene until a vehicle was towed.
Saturday, July 20
At 4:39 p.m. the Harvard boat and the district dive team were called to Rutland to assist in a search-and-recovery operation for a missing boater that lasted about five hours.
Monday, July 22
At 6 a.m. Engine 2 was called to a one-car crash on Interstate 495 southbound, where the crew helped to remove a guard rail the car had hit. The drone was used to search for the driver, who had left the scene. The driver was not found, and police are investigating.
Friday, July 26
At 9:31 p.m. a one-car crash on Old Shirley Road brought Engine 2 to the scene; the crew cleaned up spilled fluids and waited for the car to be towed.
Saturday, July 27
At 2:11 p.m. a three-car crash was reported on Route 2 eastbound. The crew of Engine 2 cleaned up fluid spills and debris and waited for the vehicles to be towed.
Friday, Aug. 9
At 10:32 p.m. a fire alarm went off at an Ayer Road building. The duty officer found the heat had been left on in an office unit, and there was abnormal heat in a conduit. The officer called for the tower truck so firefighters could check the rooftop HVAC unit. No heat or fire was found there, but the property owner was advised to call the HVAC company for service.
