Fire and Ambulance Log: August 20 to 26, 2024

The Ambulance Service responded to eight calls and transported five people to the hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance responded to one motor vehicle crash. No one needed a lift assist.

Wednesday, Aug. 21
At 8:21 a.m. the ambulance and Engine 2 were called to a crash on Route 2 eastbound. The ambulance took one person to Emerson Hospital. The engine crew cleaned up debris and fluids.

Thursday, Aug. 22
At 9:26 a.m. a shiny balloon set off an alarm at a Mass. Ave. building.

Saturday, Aug. 24
At 6:24 a.m. a smoke detector went off at a home on Littleton County Road. The duty officer found the detector needed cleaning. At 7 a.m. an alarm went off at a business on Ayer Road; no report was available yet.

Sunday, Aug. 25
At 11:10 a.m. Engine 2 was sent to cover for Boxborough firefighters, who had been called to a vehicle fire on Interstate 495 northbound.

Monday, Aug. 26
At 7:56 p.m. Harvard’s drone team was called to assist with a search for a missing person in Littleton; the Littleton police located her soon after the drone team arrived.

Decisions to publish or withhold the names of people arrested will be based on our need to balance the privacy of individuals with our responsibility to report news of significance.
