The ambulance responded to five calls and transported five patients to the hospital, four with Advanced Life Support services on board.

At 3:01 p.m. someone called the Fire Department to rescue a dog from a drainage culvert on Westcott Road. Engine 2’s crew and the fire chief responded. Apparently the dog was not tightly stuck, because when the firefighters made noise at one end of the culvert, the dog ran out the other end.
Thursday, Feb. 1
At 11:45 a.m. a Shaker Road resident who was locked out of their home called the Fire Department for help. The duty officer was able to gain entry without damage to the house.
Monday, Feb. 5
About 10 a.m. Engine 2, the tower truck, and the tanker responded to reports of a gas leak on Depot Road, where construction work had ripped up a propane line. Firefighters shut off the propane tank and checked the building for gas but found none. The owner was told to call the gas company for repairs.
