In the past week police made nine motor vehicle stops; four resulted in verbal warnings, four in written warnings, and one in a civil citation, which carries a fine. Officers also dealt with one report of a disabled motor vehicle and responded to four false burglar alarms.
The Ambulance Service responded to seven calls and transported five patients to the hospital, one with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance was called to a one-car crash, and one person needed a lift assist.
Tuesday, Oct. 17
At 3:10 a.m. state police dealt with a car crash on Interstate 495 southbound. At 4:48 p.m. a woman phoned to speak with an officer about a man she knew who had texted her, saying he was filing a harassment complaint against her for not allowing him to buy alcohol. At 5:28 p.m. a caller reported a two-car collision at the intersection of Old Littleton Road and Fairbank Street; no one was injured, but one person was given a written citation. At 9:24 p.m. a caller reported a badly injured deer by the side of the road near the intersection of Ayer Road and Route 2 westbound; an officer put down the deer.

Thursday, Oct. 19
At 9:57 a.m. a 24-year-old Ayer man received a summons for driving with a suspended license and registration, with subsequent criminal offenses. The car was towed; its occupants were driven to a residence in Ayer.
Friday, Oct. 20
At 11:47 a.m. a 911 caller reported a two-car collision on Ayer Road; no one was injured.
Saturday, Oct. 21
At 12:27 a.m. Boxborough police asked Harvard for backup while responding to a burglar alarm at a business where the doors were found open, indicating an intruder might be inside. At 8:17 p.m. someone called 911 to report a fallen tree on Prospect Hill Road; an officer removed the hazard.
Sunday. Oct. 22
At 11:44 a.m. someone came to the police station to turn in a camera found near the intersection of Pinnacle and Poor Farm roads; the camera is still at the station, where the owner can claim it. At 1:48 p.m. a woman asked to speak with an officer because she was receiving text messages from a man she had been told not to contact; an officer spoke with both people. At 6:22 p.m. Berlin police called, saying a person there had been taken to a hospital after having a seizure; they asked a Harvard officer to make contact with the person’s parent.
Monday, Oct. 23
At 11:31 a.m. someone came to the police station to report activity he considered suspicious, but no further details were available. At 11:41 p.m. an officer went to a Prospect Hill Road residence to deal with a possible trespasser. At 2:12 p.m. a caller asked for a police officer to accompany him to a house so that he could pick up his belongings. At 4:47 p.m. a Babbitt Lane resident called to report a suspicious package on her doorstep; police found it belonged to a neighbor.
