We had tremendous activity at Old Frog Pond Farm on Eldridge Road Tuesday afternoon. Some 12 police cars, as well as other officers in their pickup trucks, the canine squad, and overhead two helicopters—one the state police and the other the news—quickly arrived.
The suspect had run through the orchard, across the farm, and into the Delaney Wildlife Management Area.
We know little of the circumstances, but he was finally apprehended. But my husband and I want to thank our Harvard police officers and other town safety officers, as well as Boxborough and the state police. It was an incredibly determined and professional effort on a very hot and muggy day.
Good to know when there is a serious problem, they are ready to serve.
