Wednesday, Aug. 23
At 9:37 a.m. the duty officer checked on an alarm that had gone off at an Old Littleton Road home; the homeowners had reset the alarm before the officer arrived, and there was no indication of what had set it off.

Saturday, Aug. 26
At 6:45 p.m. a caller reported smoke in the area of Pond Road. The duty officer checked the area and found the smoke came from a cooking fire on Whitman Road. At 11:35 p.m. an alarm company reported a fire alarm sounding at a Bolton Road home; again, the homeowner had reset the alarm before firefighters arrived, and there was no sign of fire.

Monday, Aug. 28
At 10:45 p.m. an alarm went off at an apartment on Ayer Road; the cause was a faulty detector in the ductwork.
