The annual beach bonfire will be held at the town beach on Pond Road, Friday, August 11 at 7 p.m.
Peace Festival at Carlsons
No peaches this year. Instead, there’s a peace festival at Carlson Orchards on Oak Hill Road. Saturday, Aug. 12 and 13, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artisans, wagon rides, food truck, pick-your-own berries, lots of cider and flatbread pizza.

Bromfield tour
School administration and the Harvard Schools Trust will host tours of the Bromfield School Tuesday, Aug. 22, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to show the improvements made to the gym, cafeteria, and flooring. The public is invited to see the upgrades, many of which were completed by Bromfield’s facilities staff.
Yoga at Devens

Honoring military service
The Nashoba Valley Celebration of Service takes place Saturday, Aug. 19, 4 to 10 p.m., at Rogers Field, 37 Buena Vista Street, Devens. The event, celebrating the country’s military, will feature live music, vendors, military displays, and food and beverages. Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. Pets are not allowed. Rain date will be Aug. 20.
Safe kids traffic safety demo
On Aug. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a Devens Safe Kids event at Bradley Circle, Devens. Devens families are welcome to enjoy a free fun and instructional workshop on bicycle and traffic safety. There will also be “Touch-A-Truck” and Devens Fire Department demonstrations.
Boston Tea Party anniversary
The Harvard Historical Society will present a program to commemorate the 250th anniversary of The Boston Tea Party Saturday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the entrance to the Center Cemetery, which is next to the Congregational Church.
Fall Fest
The Harvard Lion’s Club will host its annual Fall Fest Saturday, Sept. 16, from 3 to 9 p.m. on the field at the Harvard Public Library, 4 Pond Road. Live music, food, beverages, and games will be featured.
Harvest Ramble

Walking through Europe
Former Harvard resident Kathy Elkind will hold a launch party for her new book, “To Walk It Is To See It: One Couple, 98 Days, 1400 Miles on Europe’s GR5,” Aug. 20, at 3 p.m., at Knoll Farm, 700 Bragg Hill Road, Fayston, Vermont. The book chronicles the author’s 1,400-mile walk along the Grand Randonnée Cinq through Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.
