DEC elects new vice chair, treasurer

June 2, 2023

At its May 23 meeting, the Devens Enterprise Commission filled two vacant offices on its board. Members accepted the nominations of Chair Bill Marshall and elected by unanimous vote Deborah Seeley of Shirley as vice chair and Marty Poutry of Ayer as treasurer.

Seeley will fill the seat left vacant by the commission’s longtime vice chair, Jim DeZutter of Harvard, who is moving to New Hampshire.

The DEC is an independent agency responsible for permitting and regulating development in Devens. It is directed by Peter Lowitt, who after 23 years, will retire mid-July to be succeeded by DEC environmental planner Neil Angus.
