We thought the “Expressions” column in last week’s Press was an excellent reminder of the importance of Town Meeting, specifically “… the responsibility of citizens to participate in the governance of our town.” Unfortunately, the sound system did not allow full participation. Whether it was the mics, the speakers, the acoustics, or something else, it took a constant shout of “We can’t hear you.” Even then the problem continued. How can we participate if we can’t hear what is going on?
