Bromfield ninth-grader Khivi Nanra and her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who supported her fundraising campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and 2023 Boston Student Visionaries Program. The “Heart” signs in folks’ yards make us smile as we drive around town, and the generosity given during her fundraising event March 31 at Fivesparks was overwhelming. Special thanks to members of the Bromfield Jazz Band who gave up their Friday night to support their fellow band member, director Craig Robbins, and to school administration for encouraging this to happen. Special recognition also to the many talented artists of Harvard who donated artwork, which raised the bulk of the money during the festivities.
Khivi’s fundraising far exceeded her personal goal, and all who donated should share in her accomplishment and knowledge that the funds will assist in patient care. It is so important for our youth to learn and experience what philanthropy is and that giving of one’s time, efforts, and expertise really can change the course of another person’s life. Gratitude to all who supported Khivi in this venture.
