Sanctuary hike
Harvard Conservation Commission’s Land Stewardship Subcommittee is leading a hike Saturday, April 8, meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the parking lot for the Bare Hill Wildlife Sanctuary on Bolton Road in Harvard. The full route covers 2.6 miles (two hours), with an option for a shorter loop of 1.1 miles (approximately one hour). Drizzle or flurries OK; rain cancels. Rescheduled Easter egg hunt
On Saturday, April 8 (postponed from April 1), the Harvard Family Association will host the annual Easter egg hunt on the Common, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to all area families, with spring-themed crafts and lawn games for children, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.
Book sale donations
The Harvard Public Library will be accepting donations for its annual book sale Saturday, April 22, and Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to noon at the main entrance, 4 Pond Road. (Rain dates the following Sundays). The library is seeking books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition; no encyclopedias, broken or moldy books, Reader’s Digest books, or VHS tapes.
The book sale will take place Friday, May 5 (for Friends of the Library), 2 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, May 6, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, May 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds support children’s programs, Friends of the Arts performances, free museum passes, and other services.

The Women’s Business Network meets Thursday, April 13, at 7:15 pm at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road. The program will be “Tabletop Group Discussions on Business Issues”; bring business issues and get advice. WBN is a local, volunteer-run networking group of women in small businesses, professional practices, nonprofits, and the arts who meet monthly for mutual support, education and networking. Guests are welcome.

The Knights of Columbus are holding their curbside community supper on Saturday, April 15, at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road. Proceeds go to local charities like food pantries and Coats for Vets. Suggested donation is $10, order by April 10.

Earth Day Show and Tell
The Harvard Climate Initiative Committee and Harvard Energy Advisory Committee will present Earth Day Show and Tell Around Town, Saturday, April 22, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations. The event features open houses including organic and regenerative farming practice open houses, an electric vehicle petting zoo, a tour of the American Chestnut Restoration Project, and kids’ activities. The Nashua River Watershed Association will present free programs that explore nature-based solutions to the impacts of climate change.

Sondheim show
The WCLOC Theater Company presents “Merrily We Roll Along,” by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth, April 21-30, at the Grandview Avenue Playhouse, 21 Grandview Avenue, Worcester.
