At 2:24 a.m. an alarm company reported an alarm going off at an Oak Hill Road home. But the homeowner told the Fire Department no alarm was sounding there, and no service was needed. At 6:55 a.m. Engine 2 was called to a car crash on Depot Road; the engine stood by until the car was towed. At 7:15 p.m. firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at a Stow Road home and found readings of the gas there from a generator too close to the house; they ventilated the house with fans and told the homeowner to move the generator farther away.
Wednesday, March 15
At 9:41 a.m. Harvard firefighters went to Littleton to provide mutual aid coverage while the Littleton crew was fighting a fire in Concord. At 1:34 p.m. the duty officer reset a defective alarm at a Mass. Ave. address. At 4:44 p.m. he replaced the battery at a smoke alarm that was sounding at a Depot Road home.
Thursday, March 16
At 1:25 a.m. an Oak Hill Road resident called 911 about an odd smell in the house. Firefighters traced the trouble to a malfunctioning oil burner; they told the owner to turn it off and call for service. At 9:36 a.m. firefighters were called to a crash on Route 2, where they provided scene safety. At 5:09 p.m. a Bolton Road resident called with a water problem; firefighters helped the homeowner shut off the water and electricity.
Sunday, March 19
At 7 p.m. an engine crew went to Warren Avenue to provide safety at the scene of a car crash.
Monday, March 20
At 3:16 p.m. an alarm sounded at the public library; the fire chief went to the scene, checked the alarm panel, and reset the alarm.
