At 7 p.m. firefighters and the ambulance crew took part in a joint training simulation on the Under Pin Hill trails to practice rescuing an injured hiker.
Friday, Feb. 17
At 4:43 p.m. firefighters were called to a one-car crash in the breakdown lane of Route 2 eastbound; they stood by to assure scene safety until the car was towed. At 6:50 p.m. the Fire Department was again called to a crash on Route 2, this time westbound in the median; with no spilled fluids, the firefighters’ job was again to keep the scene safe.
Sunday, Feb. 19
At 9:14 p.m. Bolton police requested help from several nearby towns including Harvard, Berlin, and Clinton to find a runaway. The Harvard Fire Department was asked to bring its drone for an aerial search, but the missing person was located a few minutes later, and the request for the drone was canceled.
