Singer Buell to perform in Maynard

Jazz at Bromfield
The Bromfield School annual jazz night will take place Friday, Feb. 3, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bromfield cafeteria, 14 Mass. Ave. Featured will be the Dan Gabel and the Abletones’ 10-piece swing band and Bromfield’s middle and high school jazz bands. Tickets are available at the door; $10 for students and $20 for adults, with a family pricing cap of $50. Proceeds will benefit the Bromfield music program in reducing the cost of participation in upcoming music festivals.
Harvard Woman’s Club program
On Monday, Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m., at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road, Harvard resident Donna Lee will talk about her creation of the R-Yolo yoga mat, an alternative to other mats on the market, and how her mat came to be included in gift bags presented to celebrities at the 2022 Academy Awards. Winter Fest
The Harvard Lions and Fruitlands Museum will hold Winter Fest 2023 Saturday, Feb. 25, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will include a 5K road race, apple cannons, skillet toss, sun catcher contest, human dog sled pull, Wassailing the Orchard, and a People’s Choice chili and mac and cheese contest. $5 admission; Trustees members, chili and mac and cheese contestants and racers free. Celebrating Black composers
The Nashoba Valley Chorale will present “The Chariot Jubilee—Celebrating Black Composers,” featuring music by the 18th-century Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia and several contemporary Black American writers. The chorale will be accompanied by players from Groton Hill Music Center. Also featured will be Colombian tenor David Rivera Bozón and the winners of the Chorale’s annual Emerging Artists program.

Little Women film festival
