In the past three weeks, police made 61 motor vehicle stops, 19 resulting in verbal warnings, 37 in written warnings, and five in civil citations, which carry fines. Officers also responded to six false burglar alarms and five calls about loose or missing dogs; made five well-being checks; dealt with four disabled vehicles and six complaints about speeding or erratic drivers; issued or renewed one firearm permit; and helped one person locked out of a car.
The ambulance crew responded to 30 calls and transported 23 patients to the hospital, five with Advanced Life Support onboard. Two calls resulted from motor vehicle collisions. One person needed a lift assist.
Tuesday, Dec. 20
At 9 a.m. a postal worker called 911 to report threats from a coworker; peace was restored when police went to the post office. At 5:40 p.m. someone came to the police station to report a theft. At 11:36 p.m. a Partridge Hill Road resident asked police to check on an elderly neighbor whose dog was barking; police found everything OK.
Wednesday, Dec. 21
At 8:38 a.m. a caller reported that his mailbox on Ann Lees Road had been smashed overnight. At 5:16 p.m. police issued a summons to a 28-year-old Boxborough man for violating an abuse prevention order in Harvard.
Thursday, Dec. 22
At 1:09 a.m. an officer checked on a car parked at conservation land on Slough Road and sent the two young people in it home. At 3:33 p.m. a Depot Road resident called 911 with concerns that a person under a restraining order was outside the house; an officer found it was a different person.
Friday, Dec. 23
From about 5:30 a.m. until nearly midnight, reports of road hazards and downed trees and wires came in from all over town. There were more than two dozen such reports in all. At 10:03 a.m. a car sustained some damage after striking debris on Stow Road, but no one was injured.
Saturday, Dec. 24
At 8:51 a.m. someone flagged down an officer on Prospect Hill Road, worried that a nearby house had a broken window; a check showed no break-in.
Sunday, Dec. 25
Between 1 and 3 a.m. no one reported a large, bearded man apparently trying to enter houses through the chimney. At 8:50 p.m. a Bolton Road resident called with suspicions about an unfamiliar man in a hoodie walking nearby; the man was gone when police arrived.

Wednesday, Dec. 28
At 8:34 p.m. several officers were called to a Bolton Road residence; no further information was available.
Thursday, Dec. 29
At 1:22 p.m. police served a warrant at a Bolton Road residence. At 5:24 p.m. police issued a summons to a 53-year-old Shirley man for failure to stop or yield at the intersection of Route 2 and Ayer Road and for driving without a license.
Friday, Dec. 30
At 3:26 a.m. someone called about a dog that had been barking for a long time on Abbot Lane; police went to the location, found a dog loose, and notified the animal control officer. At 8:03 a.m. a caller notified police about a dead deer on South Shaker Road. At 2:30 p.m. Natick police called for information about a Harvard resident’s car that had been involved in a collision there.
Saturday, Dec. 31
At 8:01 a.m. a 911 caller reported a water line break on South Shaker Road, and the Department of Public Works was notified. At 2:09 p.m. an Ann Lees Road resident called 911 after a man claiming to be from a solar energy company came to her door asking for a drink of water and knocked over her trash can as he left.

Tuesday, Jan 3:
At 3:29 p.m. an Ayer Road resident reported their vehicle had been stolen sometime in the past two days.
Wednesday, Jan. 4
At 9:10 a.m. someone from St. Benedict Abbey called 911 to report an unknown man had entered one of the buildings and was walking around the second floor. The intruder then drove off at high speed but was pulled over by Bolton police. Two people were in the car, but neither had a driver’s license, so the car was towed. The occupants were driven to Harvard, where they called for a ride home.
Thursday, Jan. 5
At 2:35 p.m. someone called police with suspicions about a person taking photos of a house on Blanchard Road. At 4:43 p.m. a caller reported a car with its motor running but no one inside on Candleberry Lane; the car was gone when police arrived. At 8:37 p.m. police alerted the DPW to hazardous road conditions in town.
Friday, Jan. 6
At 3:50 p.m. Littleton police reported a car crash near the town line on Littleton Road.
Saturday, Jan. 7
Nothing significant to report.
Sunday, Jan. 8
At 2 a.m. a passing motorist called police, saying a person near the center of town had tried to flag the motorist down; police found the person was a bicyclist with a flat tire.
Monday, Jan. 9
At 6:32 p.m. an officer noticed a street sign on South Shaker Road had been vandalized. At 7:06 p.m. a burglar alarm was activated at a Westcott Road home; two officers went to the scene but found no sign of a break-in.
