Harvard Friends of the Arts will present Irish harpist and singer Aine Minogue, in concert, Saturday, Jan. 28, 7:30 p.m. at the Harvard Public Library. All that jazz at Bromfield
The Bromfield School annual jazz night will take place Friday, Feb. 3, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bromfield cafeteria, 14 Mass. Ave. Featured will be the Dan Gabel and the Abletones’ 10-piece swing band and Bromfield’s middle and high school jazz bands. Tickets are available at the door; $10 for students and $20 for adults, with a family pricing cap of $50. Proceeds will benefit the Bromfield music program in reducing the cost of participation in upcoming music festivals.
Local art on display
The work of eight local artists is currently on view upstairs at the Harvard General Store, 1 Still River Road. Chat with the artists about their work and enjoy live music and light refreshments at an artists’ reception, Saturday, Jan. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; all are welcome.

‘Marian’
Theatre III, 250 West Central Street, Acton, presents “Marian, or The True Tale of Robin Hood,” by Adam Szymkowicz, in which the classic tale is reimagined as a gender-bending comedy. The production will feature Harvard residents Sabrina Hildreth and Ien Ruark and is produced by Harvard resident Amy Morton. Celebrating Black composers
The Nashoba Valley Chorale will present “The Chariot Jubilee—Celebrating Black Composers,” a concert featuring music by the 18th-century
Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia and several contemporary Black American writers. The chorale will be accompanied by players from Groton Hill Music Center. Also featured will be Colombian tenor David Rivera Bozón and the winners of the Chorale’s annual Emerging Artists program.
