At 9:50 a.m. a 911 caller reported a car fire on Route 2 eastbound, but firefighters found it was only a coolant leak; they stood by until the car was towed.
Friday, Dec. 2
At 9:47 a.m. a smoke detector was set off accidentally by cooking at Bromfield House.
Saturday, Dec. 3
At 6 p.m. dust set off a detector at an Ohlin Lane home; the detector was cleaned and replaced.
Sunday, Dec. 4
At 1:07 p.m. the crew of Engine 2 helped firefighters from Bolton and Boxborough extinguish a car fire on Interstate 495 northbound.
Monday, Dec. 5
At 6:05 p.m. firefighters were called to a multicar collision on Interstate 495 northbound. The report was not complete when this issue went to press, but several people were taken to the hospital.
