Music and comedy with Don White
The multitalented Don White—a storyteller, comedian, author, folksinger, and songwriter—will appear Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank Street. White has released 10 CDs, three DVDs, and two books, and since 2015, has appeared in “Father’s Daze,” a storytelling show about the triumphs and tribulations of fatherhood.

Holiday Girl Scout events
The Mitten Tree, an annual Harvard Girl Scouts tradition, is up in the children’s room at the library, 4 Pond Road, through Dec. 14. Donations of new mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves or other hand-knit items will be brought to WHEAT Community Connections in Clinton to distribute to its clients.
Members of the Girl Scouts will host the annual senior holiday tea Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Church, 15 Still River Road.

Christmas Fair
The Congregational Church of Harvard, 5 Still River Road, will host its Christmas Fair and Festival of Trees & Wreaths, Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Santa arriving by firetruck at 10:15 a.m. Enjoy a treat or lunch, visit shops, decorate a gingerbread house, and visit Santa at Santa’s Cafe. The Unique Boutique, in the downstairs of the church’s fellowship building, will also be open.

‘Christmas by Candlelight’
Old Sturbridge Village, 1 Old Sturbridge Village Road, Sturbridge, will present “Christmas by Candlelight” on various dates through Dec. 30, 2 to 8 p.m. Highlights include the decorated village, Christmas tree trail and wish bridge, nightly lighting ceremony, live music, and storytelling.
