Kudos to the Fivesparks team, led by Mark Mikitarian, Willie Wickman, and Cary Browse, for another successful Harvard Music Festival. With 39 musicians plus coaches to find housing for, feed twice a day, and organize rehearsal spaces, the Fivesparks team was a model of collaboration and dedication to providing the best possible experience for everyone involved.
I have always enjoyed hosting and getting to know these dedicated musicians. And after hearing them practice throughout the week, it was delightful to hear the results of their week-long intensive work with their extraordinary coaches at last Saturday’s concert.
