Town Meeting and Town Election
Town Meeting is being held outdoors, Saturday, May 14, at noon, on the field in front of the library and Bromfield School. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. To view the warrant, visit tinyurl.com/y8yxjay3. The Council on Aging van is available for rides. Call the COA by 2 p.m., Thursday, May 12, to schedule.

Open space and recreation survey available soon
The Harvard Open Space Committee has received a grant from the Montachusett Regional Planning Commission to update its 2016 Open Space and Recreation Plan, which helps define a path forward for open space use in the town, including active and passive recreation and agricultural lands. The plan also assists in the protection of open space corridors, ecologically significant areas, waterways, and wetland areas.
A public survey will provide the opportunity for residents to voice their opinions on open space and recreational uses in the town, and will soon be available at harvard-ma.gov. To be notified of this survey, visit the website and sign up to receive news and announcements under “Subscribe to News” on the homepage.
Apply for an absentee ballot
Absentee ballot applications for all 2022 elections must be requested in writing. Fill out the application at tinyurl.com/533d6vv8 or submit a written request with your signature on it. Typed signatures cannot be accepted. You may apply for an absentee ballot for yourself or a family member by:
- Email, at townclerk@harvard-ma.gov (scan it or take a photo of it).
- U.S. mail, to Harvard Town Clerk, 13 Ayer Road, Harvard 01451.
- Dropping it off in the Town Hall dropbox to the left of the front doors of Town Hall.

Transfer Station stickers available
Transfer Station stickers are now available for purchase. The cost is $130 for two. Both stickers must be purchased at the same time. Stickers purchased now are for fiscal 2023, which runs from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023. Purchase online at unipaygold.unibank.com/default.aspx or use the mail-in form at tinyurl.com/yyuchyty. Finance Committee seeks help
The town moderator is seeking interested citizens to serve on the Finance Committee. The Finance Committee’s central purpose is to maintain a fiscally responsible and balanced budget that provides funding for necessary existing services and new services as needed, while mindful of taxpayers’ dollars. Loaves & Fishes
The Loaves & Fishes food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, serves Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. The drive-thru pantry will be open 9 a.m. to noon on May 13, 18, 21, 25, and 27.
