At 10:46 p.m. a carbon monoxide detector went off in a Blanchard Road home. Engine 2 responded and found low levels of carbon monoxide in the basement. The gas persisted even after firefighters ventilated the space, so the homeowners went to a hotel for the night and were advised to have their furnace repaired.
Saturday, May 14:
At 11:26 p.m. something activated an alarm on Littleton Road; the alarm shut down before the duty officer arrived, and the cause was never determined.
Monday, May 16
At 5:49 p.m. the Fire Department received a call for an animal rescue: A horse was stuck in its stall at a Bolton Road barn. However, the horse had been freed when the fire chief arrived. At 11:41 p.m. the duty officer received a call about an alarm sounding at a Madigan Lane residence; the cause was dust or dirt in the detector.
