This Saturday marks 100 days until July 4.
Harvard’s Fourth of July Committee is pleased to announce that the town’s much beloved parade and field events are scheduled for Saturday, July 2. And after a two-year hiatus, the Independence Day celebration with fireworks will once again return to Fruitlands on Monday, July 4, 2022.
The Committee would like to thank the Harvard community for generously supporting its fundraising efforts, most notably the Harvard General Store, for providing a retail space for the sale of coasters during the holiday season; Sarah Piekos of Still River Press, for design services; and the Harvard Cultural Council (HCC) for awarding the committee a grant to support this year’s Fourth of July festivities.
The Fourth of July Committee is a volunteer organization responsible for organizing and funding Harvard’s long-standing Independence Day celebration. All events are funded entirely by contributions from the community, and money must be raised year-round to ensure that a fireworks company and the Fruitlands Museum facilities can be booked early in the year.
