Police made nine motor vehicle stops in the past week, five resulting in verbal warnings and four in written warnings or citations. They also made four nighttime calls to the Department of Public Works about hazardous road conditions, carried out two well-being checks, and responded to a false burglar alarm. The Ambulance Service was called to three medical emergencies, taking three people to the hospital, one with Advanced Life Support services in attendance.
Tuesday, Feb. 8
At 12:03 p.m. a caller complained about vehicles parked on both sides of Pinnacle Road, making driving difficult near a construction project there; an officer spoke to the contractor and the parked vehicles were moved. At 8:03 p.m. someone called 911 to say a car had gone off Ayer Road and into a snowbank not far from Dunkin’ Donuts.
Wednesday, Feb. 9
At 11:59 a.m. someone reported their car was stuck on ice on Still River Road; police called the DPW to sand the area. At 2:44 p.m. a caller said three goats were wandering in the middle of Tahanto Trail, apparently because a dog had gotten into their pen. At 3:02 p.m. a 911 caller told police a car had gone off Old Littleton Road and into a stone wall at the corner of Old Schoolhouse Road; no one was injured, but the car had to be towed. At 4:02 p.m. someone reported that a young man who appeared disoriented was walking on Old Littleton Road; police checked to make sure he was all right. At 5:41 p.m. a 911 caller reported a two-car collision on Blanchard Road; no one was hurt.

Friday, Feb. 11
At 8:42 a.m. a Mill Road resident came to the police station to report a damaged mailbox. At 5:47 p.m. someone called to say an Amazon package had been stolen from a home on Simon Atherton Row.
Saturday, Feb. 12
At 5:11 p.m. a driver called to say their car was disabled near an Ayer Road business but would be dealt with by AAA; an officer made sure the car was in a safe location.
Sunday, Feb. 13
Nothing significant to report.
Monday, Feb. 14
At 7:51 a.m. two cars collided near the intersection of Bolton Road and Abbot Lane. Police, firefighters, and the ambulance squad all responded, and one person was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. At 1:07 p.m. a car went off the road at the Ayer Road overpass at Route 2. No one was injured, but a 26-year-old Hanscom man was charged with driving an uninsured vehicle with a revoked registration. At 2:28 p.m. a caller told police the box truck he was driving had pulled down utility wires near the intersection of West Bare Hill and Still River roads; National Grid was notified. At 11:43 p.m. a Babbitt Lane resident called police with concerns about a dog that had been barking for quite a while; police got the dog back to the owner’s house.
