Tuesday, Feb. 1
At 3:11 a.m. a fire alarm went off at Foxglove Apartments on Ayer Road. As happened twice in late January, there was no sign of fire at the building, and the fire officer advised calling the alarm company. At 9:59 a.m. an alarm came in from the Bromfield School; it was apparently triggered by the use of an aerosol spray in a restroom.
Wednesday, Feb. 2
At 7:03 p.m. burned food set off an alarm at an East Bare Hill Road home.
Thursday, Feb. 3
At 11:56 p.m. Harvard’s Engine 4 crew helped Littleton firefighters with a two-alarm fire at a large commercial building.
Friday, Feb. 4
At 7:59 a.m. homeowners on Old Boston Turnpike called the Fire Department for help when the basement sump pump failed and water was nearing the furnace. A firefighter helped get the pump going again and returned in the afternoon to repair it after it failed again.
Sunday, Feb. 6
At 2:55 p.m. a 911 caller reported someone burning brush illegally near the intersection of Bolton and Armstrong roads. A fire officer went to the scene, ordered the fire extinguished, and informed the resident of the rules.
