Police association seeks help for children
The Harvard Police Association will hold its annual “Fill the Cruiser’’ event from Tuesday, Nov. 23, to Friday, Dec. 17. This year’s drive will benefit abused and neglected children in the Worcester County court system. Take part by dropping off gift cards from Amazon or other stores like Staples, Target, TJ Maxx, or Market Basket at the Harvard Police Department, 40 Ayer Road. Avoid Pond Road
Work on the water pipes under Pond Road will begin this week and is scheduled for completion around Dec. 15. While work is underway, cars should avoid Pond Road, and people who want to reach the pond should walk there. According to town officials, water service will not be interrupted during this project, which will allow town well #2 to be brought back online after it was closed for coliform contamination months ago.
Christmas trees available day after Thanksgiving
The Bromfield Baseball Booster Club will sell Christmas trees next to the Harvard General Store starting Friday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fraser firs and balsams 6 to 8 feet tall will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Friday, Nov. 26 to Dec. 19.

Historical Society annual meeting
The Harvard Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Still River meetinghouse, 215 Still River Road. Food pantry open for drive-thru pickup
The Loaves & Fishes food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, serves residents of Harvard, Ayer, Dunstable, Devens, Groton, Littleton, and Shirley.
