Town offices, library closed for Veterans Day
Town offices and the Harvard Public Library are closed all day Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Harbormaster Bob O’Shea has announced that all boats must be removed from the town beach by Monday, Nov. 15. Boats not removed by the deadline are subject to impoundment.
Hildreth Elementary School dedication ceremony
A dedication program and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Hildreth Elementary School will take place Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium, 27 Mass. Ave. The public is invited to view the building. Masks and social distancing are required.
Hunting begins on some conservation land

Water-testing volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to test their household water for lead and copper twice a year. You must be on town water with no water filters installed. Testing is free; materials and instructions are provided. Transportation Plan update
The Transportation Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on updates to the town’s transportation projects and policies. Historical Society annual meeting
The Harvard Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Still River meetinghouse, 215 Still River Road. Food pantry open for drive-thru pickup
The Loaves & Fishes food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, serves residents of Harvard, Ayer, Dunstable, Devens, Groton, Littleton, and Shirley. It will be open for drive-thru access Nov. 12, 17, 20, and 24, 9 a.m. to noon. Thanksgiving dinner distribution will be Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. For more information, visit loavesfishespantry.org.
