The estimated cost to purchase the property at 16 Lancaster County Road and renovate it as a senior center has dropped by $215,000, from $2.86 million to $2.645 million.
Town Administrator Tim Bragan told the Select Board at its Oct. 14 meeting that he and Assistant Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro had negotiated the price of the property down from $1.4 million to $1.2 million. Sobalvarro also reduced the estimate for legal fees from $30,000 to $15,000. The town will vote to fund the purchase and renovation of the building (Article 1) at Fall Town Meeting Oct. 16 and at the ballot box Nov. 2.
