Harvard’s Officer Dusty joined more than 30 therapy and comfort dogs at a conference in Groton, Connecticut, last week. Detective Daniele Fortunato, Dusty’s partner, met with other police officers who work with these dogs. The dogs are often used to help calm and comfort people who have been through a traumatic event. The Cops and Comfort Dogs Conference was hosted jointly by the Groton Police Department and the University of Connecticut Police Department.
