Bromfield is “just incredibly well-coached in a well-developed program,” Mounty coach Steve Jones told the Press after the game. “We were hoping we could hold [Bromfield] back defensively, which we couldn't.”

Top scorers for Bromfield in Friday’s game were Izzy Planchet and Tallie Dutkeywych with three goals apiece, followed by Bella Kehoe, Megan Hoggins, and Izzy Katter with two each. Olivia Kehoe, Kristin Podgorni, Annabelle Ashe, and Chloe Scornavacca contributed one apiece. Eleven goals were scored with assists, with Olivia Kehoe leading the way with four and Bella Kehoe with two. Goalie Peyton VanDorpe was credited with six saves.

The varsity girls will play  MIAA South Division 2 champion Norwell at Littleton Middle School at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, to determine who will advance to the state final July 1.
