Nine Bromfield athletes are headed to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association All-State Track and Field championship at Norwell High School this weekend, following strong showings at the June 16 MIAA Central/West Division 2 sectionals in Shrewsbury.

The boys had a good day, earning 41 points to claim third place among 41 teams, while the girls earned 30 points to tie Ayer Shirley for 10th place among 36 teams.
The Bromfield athletes who qualified for the All-State championship are:
- Senior Hanna Beckman, first in the 800-meter race with a time of 2 minutes 19.02 seconds.
- Senior Cole O’Neil, second in the 400m with a time of 51.06 seconds.
- Senior Jordan Colon, third in the 100m race with a time of 11.39 seconds.
- Members of the boys 4 x 400-meter relay team of senior Jack Yu, freshman Colin Harte, sophomore Sam Secor, and senior Cole O’Neil, second with a time of 3:33.85.
- Members of the girls 4 x 800-meter relay team of Molly Squire, Emma Squire, Marley Ferguson, and Hannah Beckman, first with a time of 10:01.45.
Other outstanding performances included:
Boys
- 110-meter high hurdles: Sophomore Liam Morrison, fifth with a time of 16.85 seconds.
- 200m: Senior Jordan Colon, sixth with a time of 23.70 seconds.
- 1 mile: Senior Freddie Curtis, sixth with a time of 4:42.78.
- 4 x 800m relay: Freshman Jack Stahl, sophomore Gavin Holt, senior Freddie Curtis, and sophomore Sam Secor, fourth with a time of 8:40.98.
- Pentathlon: Senior Angelos Psathas, fifth with a score of 2,322 points.
Girls
- 400-meter hurdles: Senior Claire Stoddard, seventh with a time of 72.6 seconds.
- Pole vault: Freshman Grace Beckett, eighth with a vault of 8 feet.
- Triple jump: Senior Claire Stoddard, sixth with a jump of 33.05 feet.
- Pentathlon: Junior Pariss Eang Lee, fifth with 1,869 points.
