The Centers for Disease Control may have said that vaccinated Americans can go maskless, but for now town and state requirements that face coverings be worn by everyone at public outdoor events remain in effect—and that includes Town Meeting this weekend.
Residents were reminded of the requirement Friday morning in an email blast from Town Hall. The headline: “Masks WILL STILL BE required at Town Meeting.”
The CDC released its new guidelines Thursday. On Thursday night, Gov. Charlie Baker's office issued a statement the governor welcomed the new health guidelines and would be updating Massachusetts' COVID restrictions “in the near future.” In the interim, face coverings are still required at all times in indoor public places, and at all public and private events whether held indoors or outdoors, except when eating or drinking
