Center Cemetery tour
Saturday, May 22, between noon and 3 p.m., the Harvard Historical Society will participate in Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area’s “Hidden Treasures Month” with a self-guided tour of the Center Cemetery. The tour begins at the Still River Road entrance, next to the General Store patio. Visitors will pick up a map, which locates 14 sites, and a brochure that gives the history of the cemetery and tells the stories of some of the people who contributed so much to Harvard. Visitors are asked to observe social distancing. The tour will also be online at the society’s website, harvardhistory.org, starting Friday, May 21 and may be viewed at any time.
‘Running to Class’
Take part in the inaugural 5K and 1-mile Fun Run to benefit the Harvard schools’ PTO. Walk or run anywhere between Friday, May 21, and Sunday, May 23. Get creative—trail, road, or treadmill are all acceptable. Registration fee for this PTO fundraiser includes a Running to Class T-shirt and a chance to win prizes through race weekend contests. Library hosts virtual story times and book groups

Devens Memorial Day Observance
The community is invited to honor the memory of fallen service members’ lives, courage, legacy, and service at the annual Fort Devens Memorial Day ceremony, Thursday, May 27, 10 a.m. at Fort Devens Post Cemetery, 52 Patton Road, Devens.
