Running to Class

‘Fun Fair Well’ for Bromfield seniors
In lieu of the traditional after-prom event, the Bromfield Celebration Committee is sponsoring a “Fun Fair Well” for high-school seniors immediately after their field day on Friday, May 14, at 5 p.m. Featured will be the senior slideshow, psychics, caricature artists, pong tournament, and spike ball. The evening concludes with a prize-filled comedy and trivia show. Also: “Safe choices” presentation and “Sullivans Message” on Friday, May 21, 12:30 p.m. in Cronin Auditorium, and second annual car parade, Wednesday, June 2.
Buy a ticket to win dinner anywhere in the world
The Rotary Club of Ayer, Harvard, Shirley, and Devens will hold its premier fundraiser, the Ducky Wucky River Race, Saturday, May 15. The winning duck affords its sponsor dinner for two anywhere in the world. To sponsor a duck, purchase a ticket from members of the Rotary Club or online at duckywucky.org. The race will be run with only race officials and duck wranglers in attendance. Winners will be posted on duckywucky.org. The club’s annual Apple Blossom Festival, usually held before the race, is postponed until May 2022.
