It’s springtime. The trees are budding, flowers are popping up, and the bees are buzzing. For this (Mc)Bee, the buzz this spring is that I am running for Select Board. You may remember me from the General Store (my morning go-to for coffee before the pandemic), school and town events, or through my volunteer work with the Fourth of July Committee, Harvard Farmers Market, and the Planning Board. I have been a Harvard resident since 2009 and love this town. I am thankful for the work of prior Select Board members who have helped to make Harvard such a wonderful place to live, and I seek to serve on the Select Board to help carry that work forward.
My years as a Harvard resident, parent in the Harvard Public Schools, local business owner, and active volunteer have provided me with a deep appreciation for our town and a passion for preserving its rural, small-town character. In the coming weeks, I look forward to sharing more information about my goals and ideas for helping to make sure that our community continues to thrive.
